The inaugural Bella Vista Car Show was held on Sunday 12th December along the streets adjacent to the greenway link between Brighton Drive and Edgewater Drive. An initiative of the residents of Bella Vista Waters and managed by Jeff Grey, the event provided an opportunity for residents to showcase their prized cars in an outdoor setting and connect with other residents. It was amazing to have such a number of high end motor vehicles and classic cars in Bella Vista Waters and being on display on the day.
A coffee van was on hand providing refreshments and was well patronised.
Attendees were able to participate by voting for a People’s Choice Award. First place was shared by three cars:
- Chris Grima with his fabulously restored 1938 Cadillac Lasalle in like new condition.
- Mario Conti’s 1979 Holden Swagman that all male baby boomers lusted over on the day.
- Michael James with his 2002 Ferrari Spyder 360 in equally immaculate condition,
It was great to see some of the car owners connect with each other. One story involved two lots of residents who discovered they had a passion for Porsche cars, had entered the Targa Tasmania Rally for 2022 and decided to travel together. Another two residents were either Ford or Holden aficionados, passionate about their own cars and decided to travel together to Bathurst next year.
Thank you to Jeff for running with the vision to organise the event. Thank you to Rohit, Krish, John and Michael for assisting with parking. Thank you to all exhibitors. Norwest Community Association was pleased to support the event by promoting it.
